    .... the good part about freedom and life's path is you get to decide how you walk it. that is about the only piece of advice i ever got that made sense. except for when my mom told me wear a condom, that has proven itself invaluable countless times in the last 30 years.
    I guess, the beauty of reaching the magic "30" is I can say anytime, "F" this, I am done!

    I reached that magical number this past January. I'm burning my uniforms 12/31/2015.....signed, sealed, delivered I'm gone!

    Life's too short, enjoy it now, not 3 years from now.

    Alas, I still have 7 months to go before I can say...shove it up the wazoo...maybe I'll stay until I have my maximum annual leave saved..

    RETIREMENT and HOUSING

    Upon retirement, we plan to sell our house and buy a smaller house.
    1. Should we invest the proceeds (equity) in the stock market and apply for a mortgage to buy the smaller house?
    Currently, my APR is 2.99% and the probability of getting the same APR or slightly higher (3.49%) is 85%.

    2. Or should we use the proceeds to outright buy the house?

    Right now, the option to stay in the house is not so appealing despite the low APR.
    1. Too many bedrooms and bathrooms to clean;
    2. Summer - Almost 2 hours to mow the grass (I have no riding mower) and weed out the flower garden;
    3. Winter – shoveling snow is a pain in the back even with a snow removal machine
    4. Winter gas and summer electric bill, $400/month (spring and fall seasons is between $180.00-$240.00);
    5. Taxes $8300 per annum (school, county and township);
    6. Home insurance –not too bad $1100.00 per annum.
