HI Whipsaw! I have been contemplating an entry since yesterday but holding off until today's Fed news comes out. So looking at possible entry tomorrow.... will see....

And Nasa.... Yes the Non-Premium Members are doing Great!! Congrats to them! But I recognize that Timing the market has been tough this year and its not over until its over. Even "buy and hold" has done great this year! Of course as soon as I try that strategy the market will kick me! Pretty sure about it! Of course in a month or so we start hitting the historically "weak" period. So maybe I get confident enough, just in time to get my butt kicked!

I have noticed that over the last 20 years or so, the market does tend to do well the YEAR AFTER we have a good drop. So that would be this year. But still so close to retirement, I don't want to risk too much.

Today the market is doing great. Kinda goes with what I had been thinking.... that we would have a slow move up once the Mexico issues fell to the backburner (early last week) and up until the Fed news or end of June, when the China news starts to get heavy.

Sad Note: I did not follow strategy to stay in as long as the 3 EMA was above 5 EMA. Exited too early... dang....
and gave the MACD histogram bars too much consideration.

Best Wishes to Everyone on their Investments!!!!!!!*

WS: You are doing very good this year..Congrats.. you have a very good sense for timing. I think I should follow you!!

So when are you jumping back in????
I am trying to stick to 50% entry at most... I know maybe that is too conservative, but I would cry hard if it dropped like a tank with me in it at 100% just a couple years before retirement.

But then I think, maybe I should Go For It since I do not plan to take everything out at once.... and so it will need to last a long time (hopefully 20-25 years-- God willing). I don't know.. still need to think more on what my investment strategy will be once I do retire.

NOTE: The skeptic in me sometimes wonders about these big moves early in the day BEFORE the Fed announces its decision on rate cuts. increases, or none. Like maybe the news has leaked and savvy persons in the know are taking advantage of that "insider" information.

Thanks DBA! Always appreciate your insight. I'm still listening too (?) closely to RSOTC, who is still looking at a big correction, bear market, reset, sell off, crash, whatever you want to call it. He's looking at Monthly charts regarding this, so no real granularity on when; could be tomorrow, could be in 4 months. So, I guess this overly impacts my short term decisions as it is in the back of my mind. I recommend checking this out...

Well the FED decided to hold rates at their current levels as there was only a 23% chance of a rate cut coming this month. Market moved up a little with the news so it seems to like what came out of the meeting. I am taking this as good news as the market is up even with the great day we had yesterday.

I was expecting a down day, but hey anything in the green is okay with me...

It sucks that the month of May took my entire 2019 year to date earnings but I am happy to be back at square one...

I followed him on YouTube for a while and unfortunately he's been talking about this big drop that's coming going back for months and months.
I know there have been some comments on his videos from people complaining they kept loosing out on gains listening to him and finally got in the market and made some money.
I know a lot of other commentators also talk about the overvaluation of the market and how a big correction is coming, and while that could very well be true, I take that just as something to keep in the back of my mind for the long term.

Looks like the market likes what happened at the FED yesterday. Futures are up and the rally is on! Good luck everyone!

S&P500 closes at a new record high. 2954.18

    RSI is at 68.66

Not exactly a great time to enter the market.
