Yep... gotta agree to some extent with the article you posted Whipsaw. Not sure that I believe it would be as bad as 1987. But it does go with what I am thinking to some extent.

This is because I looked at charts for just a bit a few minutes ago... didn't review yesterday. Looks like 20 day EMA is getting close to crossing below 50. If that happens, I am out IMMEDIATELY! Bad things are usually not far off when that happens. Will be posting charts tonight.

Take Care and Best Wishes to You and Everyone on Investments!!!!!!!!!

Yep, the waves have been clear to me. 5 waves down followed by 3 waves up which finished today. Next comes another sharp 5 wave drop. My trading account is mushrooming.

P.S. - Having all sorts of issues with Internet Explorer lately, including my first attempt at this post....switching to Chrome seems to fix all issues. Time to finally migrate to Chrome I guess.

Reading the threads, there is a correlation of folks talking about short term strength followed by a good sized drop... Still cooling my heels on the lilly pad.

The drop that many Elliott wave gurus were expecting down to 2090 or so hasn't been materializing. So with all the bearish talk out there I'm taking the contrary view and going with my own system (which actually should have gotten me in yesterday, not today, so I'm a day late but wanted to be careful and wait one more day). Ideally today is just finishing up a small wave 2 pullback, to around 2135 maybe, then the march higher to 2350 by year-end will resume....or not. A drop below 2075 (last month's close) would get me worried, but otherwise I'm bullish. Snort.

The runner stumbled out the gate this morning! Not looking good sports fans! It seems to be struggling of late, up, down, bear flags, etc. Would like to make a one or two day score, but can't get my head in long enough to gauge it. Too much going on at work and home right now... bad seasonality the rest of this week, maybe a set up brewing for next week? I got this same feeling before the housing bubble burst...

Oh Nooooooo... say it ain't true!!!! I got that same feeling... but seems that I have been feeling that way for quite some time. Humm... maybe that is just me?????? Hope not.

I must say that this morning driving into work I felt great (even though I lost at poker last night---bunch of meanies)!
Truly though...Life is a bowl of cherries! I was listening to my favorite old song .. "I am every woman" by Chaka Kahn. You know every time I hear that song it just makes me feel powerful, invincible and that I can do anything!!! Love that song...

Then I get to work, take a break, look at the stock market and shake my head!!!!!
Market SIR..may I have another??? ...but I am still smiling!

P.S. Chaka Kahn and her sister recently had to cancel her tour dates (in July) to go to rehab for addiction to prescription drugs. Bummer. But I think she may have resumed tour by now.

DBA, especially when you're driving to work in that hot sports car!

Futures are up, I think with the GDP report... Will this spur a rally with any legs?

GDP hits 2.9% in biggest gain since mid-2014 - MarketWatch

Hi Whipsaw!! Yes I do listen to Chaka Kahn on way to work! I use YouTube to blast it through the car media center. I can play and sing anything I want!!!! The SAD part is that it only takes me about 20-25 minutes to get to work! So much music, so little time!

About GDP 3rd quarter growth of 2.9% per FBN this morning, the expectation was 3.0 and others were whispering hopes for higher. So even though 2.9% sounds good, John Londski from Moodys, said this still only gives about a 1.5% average growth. So their conclusion is that this still is not considered great. He says this is no proof of recovery as the 2.9% is distended by the big increase in inventories and narrowing of trade deficit. He said if you take that out, this brings it to 1.4%---no change at all. Its nowhere near growing near 3%. Gotta go back to 2005 to see that. He said during the last 10 years GDP growth is at an average of a "puny" 1.3% growth, which is the worst 10 year growth performance since 1939 when it grew at 1% average growth annually. He said no doubt this causing middle class shrinkage.

I am considering exit this morning. Best wishes to you and everyone on your investments...and have a great weekend!!!!!!

Markets no looka so good! Folks taking 3 and 4 % haircuts this month. I'm back in the low 500s on the AT. Be careful out there... is the S fund going to move through the 200 day?

S&P500 (C Fund) has been down for the past 5 trading days and looks to make today 6 in a row. Perhaps it is time to cry uncle and throw in the towel until after the election...
