Just realized I forgot to update my signature with the last move... Its fixed now, sorry...
JTH's US Dollar Index chart post made me curious as to what is driving it. The report at the link indicates factors to include economic performance, interest rates and monetary policy, affect the dollar valuation. What is more interesting, there is a relationship to dollar strength and market performance. While the market may rise on dollar weakness, it generally rises with dollar strength. That's good, right?

I guess that's good right- stock market directly proportional to dollar strength?
But inversely proportional to corporate (multinationals) earnings?
how does market earnings relate to the stock market, then?
I thought the higher the market earnings, the better the the stock market?
sorry,whipsaw, ain't too smart, just trying to understand things..
i guess, I relate to the dollar strength when I go to foreign countries. The higher the exchange rate is, the more value for my dollar. That's the extent of my knowledge regarding the mighty dollar.

100% G COB... had a great run this month, I think I'm on the side lines till April at this piont. Saw some folks move out over the last couple of days and figured taking profits at this point, for me anyway, is a good call. Another consideration for me is being on travel next week and not being able to stay on top of things. I expect there is still some upside based on what folks have been posting. Good luck everyone!

Wow Whipsaw - we are so insync right now. I sent the following one minute after your post {Going 100% G COB today. I made my monthly goal so, to sleep better, I'm going to safety. This market seems to have some room to climb, but I'm out of pocket until the end of the month so no time to monitor the charts. In 10 days I may look back and think I should have stayed in, but I will have been able to give my work 100% of my thoughts by not having 'what the market is doing' on my mind. Good luck everyone.}
Spooky.
100% I August 14 (cob 8/14). Trying it again until Oct.
