Nice... So Price now hitting upper Bollinger. Per Ira Epstein, the first time it hits upper band, pros take some money off the table so would not be surprise if it drops a bit tomorrow. But with today's earnings, now have a little cushion. I am waiting to see what happens early next week for pushing in a bit more...will see!

    Best wishes to you all*!!!
PS. Can't post S fund chart as Stockcharts has not updated today. Sent them msg....ugh.... But did look at $EMW and IMW and both show the intraday candle touching upper band, Woooo...hoooo..Also, VIX and Dollar down, TRAN up. ..

    Here is C fund.

Hi Whipsaw, Ira uses the 18 day Simple Moving Average of closes. He calls it "The Line in the Sand". He holds that price will tend to gravitate back to this point... considered neutral area. When it stays in that area (I.e. price keeps KISSING that daily simple moving average) this means it is going to do something.

When price goes above it, he says market has a bullish "bias" and the 18 dSMA becomes support. If it goes below, he says market has bearish "bias" and that dSMa becomes resistance. This is per notes I wrote down from his course, which I took last year. But he uses other MAs as well. He often talks about this in his daily End of Day financial videos. But, those videos don't present all his teaching, though he gives very good information and worth watching. They are Very good! I understand he now gives signals for indexes that TSP tracks, but I've not looked into it.

Hope you are well! Take care WS!

Important PSA! Valentine's Day is now ONLY 10 days away... falls on a Sunday.

Please remember to give your Sweetie (or yourself) something Special and SWEET! Chocolate covered Strawberries, made at home are very special, much appreciated and simple to make...plus you and your sweetie will not feel as guilty because it has healthy fruit bathed in the greatest concoction ever made to bring out good warm feelings of sincere appreciation! YUM! But for those who don't have time...or forget, a quick strawberry shake...with great vanilla ice cream and fresh, frozen, crushed or pureed strawberries would be great too! ....

Yummmm.. I think the bottom left picture is showing strawberries covered with white chocolate that has a little food color added to brighten things up...plus the candy sprinkles look good too! Very creative!

PS. Red roses are always loved! Hummm... why not try all 3!!!!! oh yeah!

Going 30%G 20%C 50%S COB today, banking some of these profits but still in the game with diversity.
I'm hoping to embed above 80 on Slow Stochastic on both S and C next week.

Roses too? Trying to put me more in debt? Poor me has valentines day, wedding anniversary and birthday in the same month.

Good luck with the investing. I am suffering FOMO since I got out before the elections. Why is getting back in even a little bit so difficult for a retired person?

Okay PO... how bout a single very beautiful rose. No old crinkly brown stuff on it! I could make a joke about that, but I will resist! lol...

Yes, I should think it is hard to be in equities when retired. But gotta make it last.... Study, good strategy, patience and a Stop. I am working on all those. I find it very difficult to go in more than 50%, but when I do, most times I wish I had gone all in to enable exiting after making some coin. Working on that. I dunno... maybe a lil brain glitch needs fixing...lol...

I still think the set up is good for entry, but believe it pulls back just a tad this coming week. The pull back might be time for entry of my remaining 50%, but will be scary if I do....as one just really never knows what will happen.

Best wishes to you PO! Hope to see you at the TSPTalk Poker game this Sunday night!

    Best wishes to Everyone*!

Hard to not get greedy.. I'm in 25% and can't help but think how much better making 4x as much in two days would feel... Then I remeber how bad I felt when I was down about 40k when covid hit... Ouch.

Folks... lets get real here! Nothing came out of a bank. It is all Borrowed and our children and grandchildren will be paying it back, if they can with what little of a country WE will leave them.

If we can't get politicians to stop spending what we do not have, not only will our economy and livelihood suffer, but other bad countries will own us and they pretty much already do...which is due to politicians on both sides who have been selling us out for decades, lining their pockets and receiving tons from large greedy corporations who see China as the Honey pot !

Do you hear anyone badmouthing China?... to include corporate owned media? Yet we still keep sticking our head in the sand, buying the stories we are told about climate change being our greatest enemy, while our true greatest enemy, China, which is already at war with us, continues laughing at us as we feed them our money for them to defeat us.

They know we are a country divided...so easily done. So just keep bickering at each other and feed the machine with your dollars. That is what the Chinese Communist party wants! Does anyone think twice and look at which country made the items you want to buy before adding them to your cart? Do you stop when you see the words "Made In China"? Have you noticed how items on line now just say "imported"? Hummm... send in a question on that before you buy! Go on Ebay for glassware and other everyday items and consider buying antique items and some made in the 1940s, 1950s, etc.. Beautiful American made Anchor Hocking and other goods! https://www.anchorhocking.com/

    Ok...enough!
