Reducing exposure... 25 C. 10 i
Good morning! Here are charts as of a few mins ago...up, up, and away! I can't say I understand this market, but it is earnings season. The 10 EMA crossing above 20 MA does seem to be the indicator that has worked... Until it doesn't. Ira Epstein expressed frustration with market last week, so that made me feel better... Best wishes to you all!

Quite honestly KB, I have no idea what will happen next.. it looks like its going to sky, but I decided I will try to step out a little early as I always seem to stay in too long and then get hit with big drop. I am good! Wishing you the best!
all i know is being out of the market has cost me dearly.. and it's always some sort of gloom and doom on the way.. and when I'm out I'm always afraid to get back in. And I need more than a G fund return to live on. so.. I tend to stay in when things look bad then when I'm too late I just ride it out. So.. everyone follow me for more financial advice... lol
Yes, there are always gloom and doom stories to freak one out of the market. I am trying to stick with a strategy of being in when Stochastic rises from the 20 line and MACD starts to cross above its signal line....and definitely entry no later than when 10 EMA crosses above 20 MA.
But the EXIT is what is so darn tricky! Indicators like Stochastic, MACD default looked very good but the short term MACD 5.9.2 was staring to touch it's signal line indicating it wanted to come down and it's histogram bars were dropping for several days now. Plus short term RSI (2) was at 73 for SPX....moving down.... All charts looked that way...I dunno...
So, if one has two IFTs, an exit now and then entry after the drop...next week, might be a good play??? But since I have no IFTs left, I'm just trying to hold onto the upswing for as long as I can without the risk of losing all my gains in a big drop. So I am just exiting in baby steps to lock some gains while balancing risk....lol...or at least that is the plan!
drop next week?

when looking at seasonality of charts over the last 50 years, next week is historically a low week. doesn't mean it is going to happen, but many expect it to. following that is usually a steady rise into the Christmas holiday season. you can get info on this from tsptalk's forum postings or daily market comentary. you can find the seasonal charts at EquityClock.com or at SentimentTrader. I prefer the later.
MMK, Great info! Hank you for Seasonality charts link!
Here are charts as of a few mins ago.
KB, I was considering letting the 15% in C fund ride one more day into next week to see what happens, but I am leaning towards dropping out completely. Probably will exit.
