woohooo! i got the tsptalk golf balls today, they are really cool. and thanks for the new mug, i don't know if you meant to send the stainless steel one instead of the travel tumbler, but i am keeping it. i hurried up and licked it all over so nobody else would want it now anyways.

i usually don't like it when someone knocks on my door unexpectedly because then i have to rush and find some pants to put on and my hair is all messed up, but this was a pleasent surprise and i'm sure mail carriers see far worse in a day than lil ole me. it is blowing 20 and gusting 30 today and tomorrow not predicted much better, but i am going to try to get out on the course anyways and take a mugshot of my cool tsptalk gear.

i noticed something interesting. in the 3 ball sleeve they are numbered 1, 2, and 3. usually a sleeve has 3 balls of the same number. maybe it is because when they give out logo balls at tournaments and a lot of folks may be playing the same brand of balls this helps give you a few numbers to choose from so as not to duplicate a partner your group's ball? i am keeping the #1 ball for my collection. and i'm not hitting the others anytime soon until i get better at this.

    thanks tom.

I didn't realize that about the numbers. I could easily sort them when I send them or, since the logo is basically the identifier already, is 1, 2, 3 better?

i like the varied numbers better i think. i wouldn't put the time into sorting anything, you git what you git and you don't throw a fit. totally cool gift for just posting some random thoughts and once in a while investing insights.

i have no complaints. thanks tom.

well i am disappointed a little because i just cancelled our tee time today. it is blowing 25 and gusting to 35 and thunderstorms are rolling in late morning to afternoon. despite popular opinion, of all the things in life i'd like to become, a lightning rod is not one of them.

but on the bright side... i went to heat up a slice of pizza from delivery last night and the box i left sitting on the counter won't fit in the microwave. so i flattened out the shipping carton the tsptalk golf balls and mug came in to use as a plate so i don't have to do dishes and guess what? a sleeve of tsptalk golf balls fell out! i ran to the iron lockbox under my bed because that is where i am sure i remember i put my tsptalk golf balls for safekeeping and they are still there too, now i got two sleeves of tsptalk golf balls! wooohooooo! i love golf. and i love tsptalk stuff.

this second sleeve had the numbers 1, 3, & 4 in it. so now i got two number 1's, two number 3's, and one each of 2 and 4. how cool is that? so i picked a #1 for my display case eventually, and kept a sleeve of three for later, and i still got two more balls so i am actually going to play them. but not today, a tee shot today might end up in canada with this wind and i am not donating my balls to canada.

the funny thing about golf i have noticed is it makes you want to buy more golf stuff. in my amazon cart i have 3 different putters to price compare, several bags of different tees, some gloves on a hot deal, some fancy expensive balls, and some small ditty bags to help organize stuff in my golf club carry bag. i don't need any of this stuff right now but it all looks so good, i am going to try not to push the checkout button on my cart.

thanks again tom for the cool tsptalk gifts. the weather is supposed to lighten up going into this week and i will take some mugshots when we get out again.

There's the old joke that if you're ever on the course and it starts to lightening, hold up a 2 iron. They say even God can't hit a 2 iron.
