Thread: Greetings from Fresno

    Default Greetings from Fresno

    Hi ya'll,

25 years federal service, set to retire sometime in the next 1 - 3 years. When it was introduced back in the day, jumped into the TSP and never looked back. Committed relationship with the C Fund for the last 15 years, although we fell out of love 2008 -2009. I thought I could make the relationship work so stayed with my girl, even though she took half my money. Last year I strayed into the S Fund (she'd been showing a lot of ankle), but true to form I ultimately went back to my first love. By the end of 2010 she'd given all my money back. So now I'm looking to this forum for the wise counsel of its members and to endeavor to learn a little something about the virtues of a keeping such a relationship fresh and productive.

    Old Town

PS. Stats and particulars: right now, all in on the C Fund, one ITF left for the month; 7.52% return for 2010.

You state: C fund for the past 15 yrs, then you state: 7.52% return for 2010. There's your problem. If you'd been in the S fund the past 15 years HELL the "last" year even, you'dv banked in the 20% range by and by. Oh well.....you live and lea .......DOH!
Just a lil o'l fishegg floatin around in this big ocean!
