Happy to finally say Hello. I'm retired now for 5 years and when working used to often visit this site to learn and get a feel for what like minded investors were doing with their TSP accts. I loved reading the Coolhand posts and other OGs that don't appear as active anymore. Anyhoo, seems life got in the way and I retired earlier than planned for caregiving and immediately went fairly conservative with my TSP acct allocation:
50G 4F 20C 16S 10I
Eventhough my current PRR is 17.47%, I just feel sick about missing out on the bull run in 2020/2019 and knowing how much more would've been in my account if I'd moved from the no growth G fund!! UGG... Sooo, here I am, deciding to be more actively involved with my account and TSPTALK community is where I think I can gage what/when investment allocations would work for me. I'm a bit risk adverse, yet at the same time this is savings I'll probably not tap into for another 5 to 10 years so I want to get better results than just parking 50% in the G fund. I've never done an IFT so been reading up here since joining yesterday. Now that I'm in, feeling to iffy to make any moves right now. Umm..this is not gonna be easy 😕
Thanks for joining us, TonysSista! Glad to have you!

My advice FWIW would be to do a small IFT now (like Monday) just to get a feel how it works. Make sure you can log in to TSP.gov and get the third party authentication. Either by text or email. If you really don’t want to move anything I believe you can cancel at the end. I would make a small move to make sure it works. Check it out now to avoid stress later. I have found that if you want to move something around the same day, logging in NLT 1115 Eastern time is good. Most of the time the authentication code in text is instant. Around noon Eastern time it can take a while to get the code and often I have to ask for another.
Good luck. Your earnings so far are great it appears.
