Thread: Greetings from Okinawa Japan

  1. Default Greetings from Okinawa Japan

Hi fellow TSP Talkers. After years of visiting the site finally decided to sign up. I’m retired military and I’ve been a FED for 17 years. I don’t plan to work past 20 and any time I can shave off that would be GREAT! My current TSP balance is $300k. I also have a roth ira outside of the TSP that I’ve been contributing to for about 5yrs and a fair amount invested in individual stocks. In order for me to retire early I figure my TSP balance needs to be around the $400k mark so if anyone wants to PM me and tell me how this can be done the few minutes it took to join will be time well spent.

    Cheers!

It's very simple, so right this down: buy low and sell high.

I love Ranger's answer... we all have that mantra. But as you may suspect, it is easier said than done.... With limited entry/exits (2 interfund transfers allowed per month and thereafter unlimited moves to the G fund) plus the noon cutoff, it is sometimes a challenge! But obviously not for RangerRay as he is doing Awesome!

So many methodologies and strategies, you may want to watch and follow what the big earners are doing in the site's AutoTracker (recent move)s, until you develop something that will meet your needs and risk tolerance. We are entering September which historically is a weak month and a period when awful drops have occurred. So if you enter, you may want to set up an ultimate exit point preserve our capital or just be conservative with your percentage in stock funds.

Glad you decided to set up an account! Best wishes to you Okidrifter74!
