    Default 29 year newbie ?

Uhhh..where should I have my money invested. I don't want to miss the boat on the run up ( expected when covid is over), but I am risk averse.

Hmmmmmm... The post covid run up pretty much happened, since March. I am somewhat risk averse and missed a good bit of the run up. Is there more? Possibly... it depends. 29 years old? 29 years as a gov't civilian? That makes a difference in what you would do.

The big questions you need to ask yourself are: 1) How soon do you plan to retire? and 2) Can you ride out an economic downturn (for let's say 5 years) without taking money out of your TSP. No one can predict with any certainty when the market will crash and you will need other funds to live on while your investments recover.

    29 year, Welcome aboard.
I have attached what the funds have looked like every year since 1988. I do not have anything on the "L" funds yet. Maybe one day I will start putting that information together.
Good luck and I hope this helps.
