I was offered Quicken Starter edition for free, again, and thought I would try the 2012 edition. Nothing has changed and it has the same stopper it had several years ago. I cannot download transactions from my financial institution. Some people here seem to love quicken for some of it's financial projection charts and whatnot. Question, do the upgrades offer more flexibility about "web banking"?

My financial institution does allow me to download transactions...as a csv or to Money!? I thought money was gone years ago. I guess other software can use this .ofx file?

Years ago I used Ace Money but the software is long gone.

Even if quicken will allow the import of the csv, (it appears it will not) why would I want another copy of the check register in a spread sheet, which I can all ready do?

Suggestions?
