    Default TSLA - Tesla

Tesla dropped sharply today to the 20-day EMA after this crash / fire report ...

This Is What Fiery Tesla Model S Death Looks Like (UPDATED)

Great momentum stock. Decided to buy this emotional dip (181.00) with a stop below today's low (few points below 175.00).

Yesterday, a Model S collided with a large metallic object in the middle of the road, causing significant damage to the vehicle. The car’s alert system signaled a problem and instructed the driver to pull over safely, which he did. No one was injured, and the sole occupant had sufficient time to exit the vehicle safely and call the authorities.
what was the large metallic object in the middle of the road the driver struck? did the driver really need the car's alert system to instruct him to exit the vehicle at that point? don't ever call the authorities in that situation, just throw the keys and run. if they catch up to you and start asking questions tell them you were just trying to give that poor hooker a safe ride home because her pimp was beating on her and you've been drinking so that's why she was driving and you don't know where she is now. and if that don't work tell them you want to call your lawyer. then start singing ac/dc back in black quietly to yourself 'you gotta catch me if you want me to hang' and don't stop.

nice bet tom, something tells me this is not tesla's fault.

I would wait to buy back in. I'm waiting for the MACD to turn a little or stabilize, Slow STO still going down. I had bought some shares at $132 and sold at 187.95 when it broke the low 2 days prior to hitting the high. Looking to get back in once the price settles a little. Looks like today's low almost made it to the long term support line, but the high volume tells me there is a little more selling left.

Nice trade. $160 looks good for a re-entry. 50 day MA and rising support line.

This one has been to tough to get in since it's rarely down more than 2 days in a row.

I actually currently still hold shares I bought at $35 back in March. I hesitate letting them go. Any advice? I have never owned a stock that has been up this much since purchase.

    How about a trailing stop?

Yes or selling all when it breaks some sort of support and rebuying later. I guess im just afraid of missing out on more gains if I sell, considering the strong run that should still continue after they release earnings. I'm expecting them to do well since they started selling in europe and i think China too (or they plan on selling in china soon). Latest news from Norway (i think) was that Tesla outsold any other car in the country. I know the roadster was pretty popular in Norway when Tesla made those a while back. I might just hold on to it. I know i just said buy and hold (AAHH!), but for TSLA, which rarely has had a pullback that has been significant, it just might be the better option in this case, unless of course some strong support broken and legitimate bad news is reported.

i would sell tesla and buy mre's, they're still cheap. you can't feed your family a lithium ion battery. well, you can, but they don't taste so good plus then you have deal with child protective service visits for a long time after that. tesla's only hold value if there is a reliable electric grid to charge them. that version of the future is currently in doubt. sell sell sell.
