Thread: Bad ETF Prices?

    Default Bad ETF Prices?

Hmmm. The Russell 2000 was up about 7% on Thursday and TNA, 300% of the RUT, was only up 8%?

Tell me I'm reading that wrong because it sounds like a scam.

And UAPIX, a 2X mutual fund of the Russell, was up 11%. I don't think I've EVER seen UAPIX outperform TNA like that.

    Plus, SSO (2X S&P 500) and SDS (-2X S&P 500) were down today. What's going on here?

You lose so traders can offset their losses. All is well, don't worry, and keep holding while we sterilize in the concern of public safety.

My wild guess: The derivatives that made multiples possible turned out not to actually exist. They are all worthless and broker? It was all smoke and mirrors using borrowed shares that the actual owners redeemed in massive sales over the last week, and now the actual companies who created those derivatives have all suddenly discovered they don’t have the Money to actually pay it out?

I can’t think of any other explanation, can you?
