Looks like they're planning on raising the debt limit again. If they don't, Geithner is predicting doom and gloom. It could even affect the G Fund:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...010603244.htmlTreasury has in the past bought time by taking "exceptional actions" to delay the date. Those have included suspending sales of securities issued to state and local governments looking to invest proceeds from tax-exempt bonds, and halting reinvestments in the "G-Fund," a money-market-like retirement fund for federal employees. But Geithner wrote that he wants to avoid such actions, which would buy the government no more than eight weeks, officials said.
They couldn't pay any interest.
