    Default Stocks and higher taxes

S&P 500, Dow Jones, and the Nasdaq are slipping in the second half of the day. Nasdaq just slipped into negative territory for the day to make all three negative.

Could Yellen's call for higher taxes have something to do with the late sell off?

No doubt that higher corporate taxes are coming and will be somewhere around 26-28%. Problem is companies will just move operations to a more tax friendly nation and that will result in even less coming in from corporate taxes. The global corporate tax is just wishful thinking from this administration.

Tech is going to get hit and so will cryptocurrencies. Anyone with crypto winnings not reported to the IRS this past year will be in the crosshairs and should be worried.

If unions were a good idea, Amazon would have them already, but instead they are fighting to keep them away. Productive workers don't want to reward mediocrity.
