I'm sure a billionaire like Tom Steyer likes high gasoline prices. That way his use of electric gadgets will continue to be subsidized by bad policies.

Gasoline and oil will be here for a long, long time. Natural gas - even longer. How's that solar and wind going to heat the UK this winter? All those "Green" initiatives in Europe over the past year have really put them in a pickle between the price of nat gas and big bad Russia.

Energy companies have been blaming some of it on the "Freeze" in late 2021 spring.

Nobody on the business end wants to blame it on ESG investing for fear of becoming the next corporate villain.

Over the weekend gas was around $2.80/gal. Today it jumped up to $3.19.

That's cheap. My pickup has a 36 gallon tank. If I put in 30 gallons I'm just over $95. Now with that said, being retired I don't drive as much so I don't fill up as often. Also If we go to Sue's doctors appointments I take the SUV because it gets into the parking garages better then my crew cab 6 1/2 foot bed pickup. That and the mileage is better.

Within a 5 mile radius of my house gas is $2.95 to $3.49. Within a mile radius its $2.95 to $3.05. The good thing is I get gas perks from our local grocery chain so right now I have $0.90 off a gallon and the gas station price is $3.05 currently. I can get up to 30 gallons with the discount. I just have to get the tank down to 1/4 and I will fill up.

OPEC+ agrees to stick to oil production plan, defying U.S. pressure

OPEC and its oil-producing allies have agreed to continue with their current output plan, deciding against loosening the taps in the face of multi-year highs in crude prices and U.S. pressure to help cool the market.

The group, known as OPEC+, will rollover its August program to gradually increase oil production by 400,000 barrels per day each month.
