Tax refunds and stimulus checks delayed by identity fraud crossfire
A growing number of tax refunds are being delayed each year as the IRS investigates for possible identity theft and other fraud.

Past few years it's taken 4-6 weeks for my state refund if we got one. They said it was because of security, but I think it's because they just don't have the money. Same with federal level.
I got an IOU from Kalefornia in 2011 and 2012 (if I remember correctly). Took six months to get my refund.
In 2011 that refund was around $500 bucks. I learned...
In 2012 the refund was around $80. Hmm... I learned some more...
I owed from that point on while I still lived in the former great state of Kalefornea...
What a joke...
