JPMorgan and Citigroup join U.S. corporations halting political donations after Capitol riot

The moves were part of the larger fallout of the Jan. 6 riots that forced American corporations to come to terms with how to respond.

So many better ways to benefit society with that money than political donations.

I still say political contributions should be taxed, at a very high rate.

Want to give a million dollars to a candidate- or a PAC? Why not a 50% PAC TAX?

Or a television commercial? How about a 75-% flat tax on political advertising air time?

At least the IRS can get some income off of it.

Don’t get me started. We got at least two years till the next election cycle to try and stabilize the markets and bring back our economy out of the Covid catastrophe. It’s going to take everybody working together to get us back to a healthy , Covid-contained economic engine again.
