Per www.tsp.gov:

The Thrift Savings Plan will be closed on Monday, October 10th in observance of Columbus Day. Transactions that would have been processed Monday night (October 10th) will be processed Tuesday night (October 11th), at Tuesday's closing share prices.

The dangers of trying to pick a bottom are obvious in a bear market - but here's the problem with not trying to pick a bottom. Remember this time last year? Market pops on Sep 1 and the boat left without the bears. It wasn't until November that there was any real opportunity... unless you chased.

How to Link Your AutoTracker Account to Your Account Talk Thread

A little manual labor is needed on your part to link your AutoTracker Account to your Account Talk Thread.

Here's how to do it:

1) Go to your Account Talk Thread (if you have one).

2) Make note of the thread number in the URL (link). It is the number to the right of the (?) question mark in the link

I screwed up! I accidentally deleted our AutoTracker database while running the Friday COB updates. Backups are done each night so unfortunately that means all IFT’s done on Friday were deleted.

I need your help. If you made an IFT on Friday, I will need you to re-enter it. In the comments area, please post the date of your transfer (ex: COB 7/15) so that it does not get mixed in with Monday’s IFT’s (COB 7/18). I will change the IFT dates ...

We now have over 800 accounts on the AutoTracker, although some are not being displayed because of inactivity. Being "active" on the AutoTracker simply means logging in. You don't have to make any IFT's. You just need to sign into the AutoTracker occasionally so we know you are still around.

Here is a breakdown of penalties for inactivity. If you haven't logged in for:

• 60 days: You are ineligible for prizes
• 90 days: Your account
