Looking back at the first trading day in June over recent years shows some big moves in both directions. It tells me that Monday may not be a quiet day.

Friday is Good Friday and the stock market will be closed.

Last year the TSP was closed as well as far as not giving share prices, but I'm not 100% sure if they will be processing transactions. They have not posted anything on their website yet, but it's something to keep in mind as we head toward the end of the month.

Per www.tsp.gov:

HOLIDAY CLOSING


Some financial markets will be closed on Monday, January 21st in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The Thrift Savings Plan will also be closed. Transactions that would have been processed Monday night (January 21st) will be processed Tuesday night (January 22nd), at Tuesday's closing share prices.

"Some financial markets will be closed on Tuesday, January 1st in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. The Thrift Savings Plan will also be closed. Transactions that would have been processed Tuesday night (January 1st) will be processed Wednesday night (January 2nd), at Wednesday's closing share prices."

In case you missed it...

Per www.tsp.gov: "Some financial markets will be closed on Tuesday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas Day holiday. The Thrift Savings Plan will be closed on Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday. Transactions that would have been processed Tuesday night (December 25th) will be processed Wednesday night (December 26th), at Wednesday's closing share prices."
