  1. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

Another volatile week in stocks where the bulls came out on top. The previous Friday's rally continued into this Monday and through Tuesday. Profit taking started Wednesday when disappointing earnings from tech giants Microsoft and Alphabet erased early gains. Again on Thursday early intraday gains were erased in the second half of the day and it was starting to look like a clear peak to the bear market rally had been established. But then Friday happened. For all TSP stock funds, the three days of losses were not enough to erase the cumulative losses produce Monday and Tuesday. The S-fund was the most impressive with a gain over 7% between Monday and Tuesday yet ended the week with just a 2.54%.

Friday was a defining day for the week with the release of the September ...
  5. TSP Talk Wrap Up

It was another week for the bears. The negative economic narrative along with a hawkish Fed have given investors every reason to sell in the midst of a bear market. There was one day of hope for a bounce on Wednesday with the C-fund up around 2% and the S-fund up around 3%. The gains were short-lived and were given back the very next day. The charts do not look appealing. The C-fund's S&P 500 chart has fallen below the June lows and there is not no back-up support. Some investors are trying to get ...
