    A wild week for stocks started with a 1.7% loss on Monday for the S&P 500 and ended with a 0.52% gain for the week. The main concern going into the week was the downfall of one of China's largest companies Evergrande. Evergrande is primarily a real estate company and property developer that used accumulating debt to keep operations moving forward.     It was a week of choppy action for stocks battling between gains and losses. The C and S-funds were about even with gains for the week going into Friday which is where the two funds diverged. All of the TSP funds were down on Friday but the greatest loss went to the C-fund which was down 0.91% while the S-fund took back just 0.09%. This split the funds giving the C-fund a 0.54% loss for the week while the S-fund ended with a gain of 0.26%. The I-fund lagged the TSP funds with a 0.85% loss

    The S&P 500 (C-fund) was down everyday of this short week and concluded its fifth straight day of losses on Friday. The S-fund escaped the same statistic with a 0.01% gain on Thursday, however the fund lagged on the three other days for a cumulative greater loss for the week. The I-fund showed strength where the U.S. stock funds could not but was still a victim of this week's sell-off.     All the three TSP stocks funds were up and all three produced new all time highs this week. Day to day was mixed between the indices but the overall trend was up for stocks. The I-fund outperformed the stocks funds with help from the falling dollar giving strength to foreign equities. The range in the U.S. stocks shrank when compared to previous weeks.
