  1. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

Stocks had their best week since early July all the while the S&P 500 produced a new all time high every day. August kept to its character and stretched prices ever higher. Both the C and S-fund have more than 7% for August with just one day left. Bears who argued that a double top would be the down fall of the S&P 500's rally were left with little much to say other than the market is trading unreasonably. That may be true but so far that doesn't make being a bear prosperous. Things are still shaky ...

A week of mixed action produces gains for U.S. stock indices and new all time highs for the S&P 500. While the S&P 500 reached new all time highs there was still caution seen by investors. 4. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

Investors continue to buy up stocks as they approach pre-pandemic levels. The S&P 500 produced its 6th consecutive day of gains Friday after a late surge the last couple hours of trading pushed the index out of negative territory. Positive earnings in smaller stocks and a jobs report that outdid expectations had money moving to stocks, particularly small caps. There was rotation out of large cap names and into small caps especially towards the end of the week. The Nasdaq produced a loss Friday to ...
  5. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

U.S. stock indices were pushed higher on the shoulders of technology giants. The final of the big tech names reported earnings this week and news was not sold. Underlying companies in stock indices, particularly in industrials, underperformed while the money flowed to Apple, Amazon and Facebook; but the sheer size of the tech companies outweigh the negative effects on the indices. Data of record breaking economic contraction in the second quarter was also overshadowed by the tech earnings success. ...
