    Stocks took a loss this week following three consecutive weeks of gains. The previous week's gains were slim compared to those before so this week's losses were not a change in character. Stock indices spent Monday morning in positive territory and that would be it. A reversal sell-off Monday that was centered around concerns of stimulus negotiations in congress falling apart. This week was not all selling and in fact the S&P 500 added gains the last two days of the trading week.

    U.S. stock indices gave back early gains in a choppy week to finally settle with small gains. A rally Monday stretched indices higher following the gains produced the week before. From there market players took profits and the market slid the next three days. There were signs of life from buyers after the morning sell-off Thursday to the early trading hours of Friday but those early gains were given back the rest of the day.

    Fear of missing out drove stock prices to their best weekly advance in three months. Buyers and dip buyers reduced caution and bought up stocks despite a sick president, another bump in the road for covid-19 stimulus deal, and an earnings season projected to expose the damage of the pandemic on companies.     Stocks started the week with gains and maintained those gains through turbulent action to end the weekly losing streak. The C and I-fund produces more than 1.5% in gains this week but we saw rotation back into small cap stocks leaving the S-fund up more than 4%. Tech companies continue to struggle but as did not take entire indices with them. The action was not straight up but rather choppy and ended off the highs after news of President Trump tested positive for Covid-19 sparked some selling Friday. ...
