A rout in technology stocks brought down stock indices to start the week with the selloff in Apple leading the cause. This was on top of the added angst of an economic summit over the week that was labeled as anything but successful.     Stocks produced their first week of losses in November after selling off for three consecutive days to start the week. Buyers showed up late to the party but two days of gains Thursday and Friday took back nearly half of the losses that had come by Wednesday's close. News about ongoing trade negotiations with China along with poor economic data from October gave traders catalysts to make moves.

    Stocks soared Wednesday as investors celebrated the results of the mid-term election; this became the lone catalyst for buying resulting in a loss of some of those gains. The new division in power in Congress increased confidence in buyers because it reduces the potential for policy change which means less uncertainty for investors.     The bulls came to life this week taking some control after a bear dominated October. Three positive trading days in a row pushed large caps stocks up more than 2% and small caps up more than 4%. Stocks bounced back from a poor start Monday and the momentum carried through to Thursday and even into Friday morning. Earnings reports and an apparent ease in trade tensions between China and the U.S. kept buyers interested.
