After a few days of some concern, the big three indices all ended the week at new all time closing highs on Friday. The Dow gained 448-points and led the those big three with a 1.3% gain, but the recently beaten down small caps jumped almost 2% to end the week. The I-fund also rallied nicely with a dip in the dollar helping, and bonds rolled over as yields bounced back.

Last week didn't start out well for the bulls and as the week progressed it got a bit more dicey; especially for the DWCPF. But Friday saw a big rally that saw price on the S&P close at yet another all-time high.




So, while the S&P continues to push further to the upside, price on the DWCPF bounced off support at the 50 dma on Thursday and soared higher on Friday, but the rally fell short of retracing

The shortened week brought inconsistency and a lack of persistent momentum by the bulls or bears. A sell off Thursday had the indices set for weekly losses but a rebound Friday pushed the S&P 500 to new highs and cut small cap losses. Things got interesting in this holiday shortened week. Small caps showed signs of cracking for several days, but yesterday we saw the S&P 500 show fatigue for the first time in a while after its big run to new highs. After making an all time high on Wednesday, the bears finally sunk their teeth into some selling, but even then the bulls did some dip buying at the opening lows to push the index higher into the close.
