  1. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up - 1/09/10

Weekly TSP Wrap-up from TSP Talk

As Goes January... Good Start to 2010

2010 started with the same vigor that we saw during most of 2009.

There is an old Wall Street axiom that says, "As goes January, so goes the year." Some take it further saying the first five or six trading days in January determines what type of year we have. If that's true then last week's 3% gains in the stock market bodes well for 2010. But there's a problem. It doesn't ...

    C&S Weekend Update

This week reminded me of the time we bounced off the March 666 bottom. While many of you got smart and gradually started getting back in the market...

I was the the big bear pounding my fist on the table in disbelief, telling myself we are due for a pullback! Meanwhile I'm manipulating the charts to fit my beliefs. Yes I was the guy reading the "doom & gloom" blogs, & reading about the horrible economy thinking "Bad economy = Bad

  5. Big Move Coming?

The dollar began the morning moving higher, which seemed to drag down the markets early on, but strength among the financials kept the market afloat.

But the underlying internals may be telling us to get ready for a big move. I expect it to be down, but this market is not staying down easy. The fact is six of ten sectors were in negative territory today, so breadth was not very good.

Tomorrow morning we have four reports coming before the opening bell, but two of them ...
