    Default Forum Stats

    From the Forum's Main Page

"Most users ever online was 579, 06-22-2011 at 08:02 PM."

I'm wondering is this an accurate stat that includes the old forum software too? Do you have any idea why so many members were online at this particular time?
I'm also wondering if you can add more stats on user particiapion, I'm looking for more ways to gauge user activity and find corralations to market activity.

I agree this sounds interesting. I think looking for correlations between user sentiment/sentiment shifts and user activity may be relevant...although ripe for spurious correlation.

This was the day of the Fed announcement. That may be the reason.

I was sorry to see the 5/26 most users date disappear.
May the force be with us.

The number has been reset once or twice over the years for reasons I forget at the moment, but it should be accurate for at least the last 2+ years.

MADDOG has 2 or 3 years of itemizing daily activity in his account talk -
    - and then gave end of the month summaries - pretty comprehensive stuff, but was last done several years ago -
if that is any help for your research...

You bring up a great point. It's easier to break records with more members, I suppose a percentage of users online is far more accurate than the number of members.

Thanks everyone, I wasn't really looking to collect raw data daily, just wanted to take a quick glance daily, sort of like I do with the Futures throughout the night. Sort of like cloud watching....
