    Default FedSmith

I just noticed this article in FedSmith from last Dec.

Commercial Financial Advice on TSP Investing : FedSmith.com

What's interesting is that the author of this article is actually one of the team members for TSPsafetynet. I love his quote:

"In my search of the web for TSP allocation services, I did find some more, but the ones listed above appeared to be the most understandable."

I'm sure none of that team understands because none of them have anything listed about trading experience. Most just offer their assessment of how to live in retirement. One was a chiropractor? I don't see any past returns posted. Apparently they use a 40-day MA. Do you know how many times one would have been whipsawed using a 40-day MA this year? Guess it works fine during bear years (2008) or bull years (2013), but what about the in-between years, which happens the most?

Anyway, my question is, when can we post our own article in Fedsmith about TSPtalk and our excellent services (including returns), or do we want to remain "low key"?

We did get a mention on one of the comments:

FERSguy 7 months agoTSPtalk.com is a great site that has been around about 10 years. Published by a TSP participant, it started out completely free with blogs and a daily (workdays) comment about his TSP experiences and much more... Another fun and free part is the Yearly "competition" - many others sharing their experiences also. He has gradually added premium (pay) services, but there is still plenty of great free stuff on the TSPtalk.com website. I am just a user of the site.

Go for it. fedsmith knows about us. We used to exchange articles weekly, but I don't think they are a fan of market timers. Plus they started to post their own TSP data and became more of a competitor than a partner.

But if anyone wants to write an article and ask them to publish it, I say go for. I'm not sure I want to write my own advertisement type article and toot our own horn. I'd rather see folks who use the site express themselves like the comment you posted.

Looks like trend following systems are having a rough time of it this year.
