Looks like an indicator some of sort, I cant click on it but a mouse over
gives me a text balloon "FAB1 is beautiful to behold" or something like that...(btw - thank you, its true! )

So educate me, how does this work?

That is your Reputation, Members can add to others Reputation if they think they are deserving by clicking on the Icon in the right top corner of the post.

You can check other Members Rep in the Members List (http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/memberlist.php):D
You can also view your Rep in the users CP (Control Panel), it lists your total and who has added to your Rep with comments

Cool! - I added to your reputation for being very helpful.

So if your reputation "goes down" would that be because the number
of posts has outpaced the "adds" by other posters.

Cause I just lost a notch!

Reputation is an interesting topic:

You can get rep or give rep.

If you give rep, it apparently takes into consideration your rep and weights it based on involvement, posts, time between rep givings.

Now, I believe that you "gave" rep which means you took a little piece of what you had and gave it to nnuut (who needs to have some rep removed:laugh:) So you in essence "GAVE" it away.

But for those with No rep, they always kinda start out with a little, just for being a member on the board.

Now, if you go to User CP and click on it, you will see where people have given you rep and how much it was worth.....It will make tons of sense....If big green bar folks give out rep, it is weighted heavier and will be "greener". If it is a newbie, it will tend to be grey or lighter green.

That's how I see it....anyone want to knock me down a peg or two?

P.S. Just kidding Norm!

No it really went down. 2 blocks

Frixx's explanation is correct - I lost 2 blocks because I "gave"

Now thats a weird system if you ask me, b/c if I give and give
my rep goes down.

Kinda doesnt make for much of an incentive to give does it?

egometer, indeed! :D

WHOA Wait a minute... In theory if I give and give rep then those who get, in theory will GIVE BACK and my rep increases, right?

There is a limit how much REP you can give, try it again on the same Member and it won't let you.

Okay I got confused - I did gain a higher rep - I just didnt notice that I got MORE squares.

So its cool.

Though I did really like that "splendid one to behold" I guess
I had to move on to higher ground.

Hey! my rep might be the only thing I excell in at TSPtalk!
