How come the only time we hear about Willie is when it involves pot? Its the cause of his troubled life. The man can sing thou.

boy, I'd say they really earned their money that day.
Good thing they took 'ol Willie's pot away and slammed him with $2,500.00 bail.
What a joke. He's 77 years old!
Good work, boys.

So glad we are spending millions if not billions of taxpayer dollar investigating, prosecuting, incarcerating, and paroling such heinous and dangerous criminals as Willie Nelson.

FREAK'N WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME BECAUSE HE WILL NEVER STOP DOING IT YOU IDIOTS. LOL And, as long as he is not driving stoned who give a ****. Outlaw cigarettes, alcohol, and Big Mac's you hypocrites. lol

It ain't the pot. It's the illegality of the pot.

Decriminalize NOW! 10255

That's partially TRUE - but it goes even deeper and is more widespread.

Willie Nelson should be considered 'The Norm' and as a Society we would do well to learn from him. Sooo the bigger problem is the fact that anything he does -- would be regarded as 'illegal'.

In this situation -- Society should have been 'enlightened' and 'transformed'.

Now if Willie had said -- hey someone put that garbage in my van and that stuff is total trash -- well then we would know to keep it illegal.

But perhaps his message was bigger than the average sees. Maybe he was expressing the 'Beauty of the Bamboo Plant' and displaying the Way of Nature.

If given the opportunity -- he may have told us it's a seasoning he adds to a variety of foods and the supply was meant to last throughout the years.

The problem is not Willie -- it's way more the eagarness by which 'we' as a civilization are so rapidly drawn to judge and condemn ... a short sightedness on our part ....

Scientists will tell you that THC does a good job of holding Alzheimer's disease back. It blocks the deposition of plaques on your dendrites. It's actually more efficient and cost effective than the most popular meds available. Let the old guy keep his memory.

Birch, I appreciate your input - especially when dealing with Alzherimer's

That's NOT how it works -- and most are too dumb to see it.

1. Tobacco is 'Big Money' - and although it's total poison and linked to numerous diseases and complicates numerous conditoins ---

Politicians would NEVER mess with that Industry.

The sweet leaf would compete with Tobacco -- so that's it.

Legalizing it -- would do far more good for society than bad -- but Politicians are honestly too dumb to realize that.

2. OIL

My dad drove a car that got 50 MPG at least 35 to 40 years prior.

It's all a bunch of crap Birch -- and we can only deal with what we have

3. HEALTH CARE -- This should be FIRST

The single greatest Problem we Have -- does NOT get fixed by forcing everyone to have Insurance... that is NOT the problem .... It's the Insurance Companies (FIRST) - Hospitals/Clinics (Second) - Pharmiceuticals (third)

and all Respiriatory Therapists need mandatory Life Sentences ;)

Speaking of Willie, his son Lukas inherited some of that talent. My wife was the music coordinator for a local festival and got Lukas Nelson's band to play for us.

He sounds like Willie on helium, but he is a very talented guitar player. An old soul. He's only 20 but he plays a lot of the old classics like Neil Young, etc. It's refreshing to see a 20 year old play like this...

Here is a video someone took at the festival...

Oh, and we didn't smoke pot with him, but we did do some microbrews with the band after the show. :D

Legalization would also let Hemp be freely grown and harvested- competing with cotton and the oil industry for biofuels.

No it wouldn't:suspicious:.....If individuals grow a few plants in their backyard or on their windowsill..it will be for their personal consumption....If it comes to large scale production (and it will sooner than later), the GOV will be all over it with taxation out the whaazoo (national debt would vaporize)....The biofuel industry is on the other side of town miles away from what the POT industry would bring to the table...But by a small comparison..Hemp clothing is just as desirable as a fabric as Cotton clothing..either way who cares? everybody wins..That would be like saying corn will nudge wheat out of production or soybeans..ain't gonna happen...On the lighter side, can you imagine the hemp field songs that would come from the hemp pickers?
