Hi, I've been in TSP for 4 years now and only recently started doing IFT's a few months ago. I just transferred 100% into the C fund at 13.47 and I was thinking I should transfer it to F once it hits $15. Do you think that is too high or too low? I attached my spreadsheet that I use.

Thanks!

Most folks here don't talk TSP share price, they deal more in S&P 500 numbers. If you convert those numbers over you may get more responces.

Also, your goal is your goal. If you think that bonds are the way to go at that signal then yes go there.
I would watch the fund threads to aid in your decisions. I think a lot of people here are afraid of the bubble in F right now and might recommend G instead. Peace!

Welcome starfox! I agree with Frixxxx about the F-fund. Bond charts are not setting up very well here. FWM gave you some good investment approach advice.

I will add to JTH's comment about the S&P 500 - most of us chart the S&P rather than the C fund as JTH said, so finding upside targets may be easier that way. But rather than picking a target, watching the charts for tehnical breakdowns might work better. That won't limit your upside if the market keeps moving higher, but once the C-fund hits your $15 target, you might consider a mental stop saying you will sell if it moves back to or below $15. Then you can raise that mental stop as prices keep rising.

Thanks for joining us and good luck!

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I've been reading on this site a lot and it's really helping me out. I had no idea what a bull or bear market was until I came on this site. Reading that daily summary made me go to wikipedia and research it. I decided to sell right after I read your folks' posts and got out just before the drop. Fewf! Thanks again! :)
