The revenge of the McMansion...

Silverbird,
I'm afraid I'm just not in the bleeding heart -- all compassionate state of being today...:o

....when I read through that I thought:

How stupid can people honestly be ??

Those idiots deserve whatever happens !!

Gosh how far can the insanity award be stretched ???

So although part of me feels for the States currently in DEBT and is a little concerned for the projected Debt that will undoubtly escallate over the next year or so......

There's another part of me that can hardly wait to watch them fall like dominos ... and in the end when all those around me see me like some kind of rich king.....

I will say ... I'm not rich ... I simply have made a point of living within my means, avoiding debt, and not trying to get things out of my reach...

I don't really feel that compassionate either, I always thought McMansions were junk. However, it puts more houses on a market that doesn't need more -- and big areas of Premium Homes in an Exclusive Community that are now known as Big Eyesores in a Dusty Construction Zone. And it wasn't just the people with no money who were trying to get something too big for their wallet and are in default.

Ahhh but you have a 'woman's heart' and compassion is sown into the fabric of your being. ;)

So now you have me softening up a tag -- but that's pretty normal

I never meant to imply 'people with no money' -- I am only stressing 'trying to get something too big for their wallet'

I have no problem with the Very Rich -- doing this type of thing because the more 'interest they pay' the better and 'Principal' is not a concern.

To everyone else it's just to crazy for me to think of anyone thinking they could honestly get by with it. But you're right -- some of those areas are going to look pretty bad and it's too bad for the ones that have the better places.
