Folks-
I have been talking to an organization called "CAN-DO", who is working on a relief project to help give a hand-up to those in the poorest county in our nation.
Here is a video to give you an idea of the scope of the problem:

As one of the "warrior" class, I get fired up about things like this.
Here is the write-up from the 501(c)(3) organization who is working on solutions for this American community in need.
See: http://can-do.org/crowCreek.php?video4=1
Will you guys work with me to come up with some ideas on finding solutions?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts, ideas, and efforts.
I talked to the organizer about filing to become a "Combined Federal Campaign" choice in the future- there is a bit of paperwork to get that started. But that is one angle I am working.
Some basic facts about the community at Fort Thompson, South Dakota-
92.2% American Indian heritage
Ranks as poorest county in the U.S.
Average household income - about $9,000 per year.
About 1,300 residents.
About 325 homes.
Average age: 22
less than 32% complete a high school diploma.
Unemployment rate: over 80%.
This is in America, folks.
Will you help me find solutions?
