This would have been funnier if it wasn't actual reality at the moment. Kind of sad really, but there's always hope for the future I guess . . . . . :worried: . . :(

My wife had an 8-track player in her car many years ago. I think I still have some of those tapes.
I had that Super Tuner (8-Track) running through a set of Jenson Triaxial speakers. Made in the USA.
Back then, that was the hot-lick setup.
DAM.... I feel old now.... :1244::1244::1244:

Back in the day with good speakers you could crank up the bass and feel it in your chest. Had to be careful so you didn't vibrate your windows too bad.

I had those triaxials as well, in a Ford Maverick. :D But if I recall the dual version before really had a killer bass. :headbang:

Awesome!!
I was a hifi salesperson way back in the early/mid 80s. Used to love the stuff. You're right.. They wouldn't understand. You'd have a whole cabinet devoted to "the stack".. And a cabinet for the LPs..
I always felt that nothing compared to having those speakers installed in the rear deck of a sedan. I mean, you're whole trunk was the speaker cabinet.
Maybe we can set up a wonky stereo thread...

Back to the future with MONTY PYTHON. Funny how this clip is around 45 years old (I think) and how it relates to what's going on today. Crazy.

When I feel lonely, I buy some shares at the stock market.

A friend of mine shared that exact same picture. Except the quote was,
"Dear kids, this is what your grandmas looked like in the 70's"
How true is that?
Have a great day.
My wife graduated high school in "71" and loved being a grandma.
Here's to a VERY profitable 2024 for all of us ! ! !
