Yep - interesting, isn't it? I said a while back that their April target date for implementing the 2-IFT per month limit was overly optimistic.....particularly after the screwed up the first Fed. Register Notice. I'm betting that they realize now that they will have to go back and re-do that Notice, which sets the whole timeline back a couple months, if not longer. Keep up the faith, folks, this is a long, long ways from being a done deal.

COMPARE:

F fund: $10.6 billion
C fund: $ 77.4 billion
S fund: $ 17 billion

L2020: $8.7 billion
L2030: $4.9 billion

IF TSP were a mutal fund (which it is not), it would contain two of the largest amounts in the world. Combined, TSP tops all except one fund family- American.

Hmmm... I think you need to rethink your math. VFINX is only *one* fund in the Vanguard family. Vanguard manages more than 1 *trillion* dollars in assets across many different mutual funds. By the figures you list, the total dollar amount invested in the TSP is around $231 billion, a fraction of the total that American, Vanguard, or Fidelity manage overall. The plan's size is closer to the scale of T. Rowe Price, by comparison.
