I'm new. I am thnkful for this web site. I have been learning much and how not to get burned with the daily moves. I have been observing the site for a couple of months. I was also trying to follow the tsp daily moves of many participants but now they seem to be listing in the Auto mated Tracker and I can't seem to get into this. Can anyone help please? No problem if new people don't get access.

Serenitynow19, welcome to the MB. It's been a really rough time for the Markets, there is a possibility that we are having a turn around, but will likely fall again to test the lows, be very careful, I should know!:D

Thank you! It worked!

With the stock market overwhemingly bearish, it's scary and too risky to try a short play, so I probably will just stay in the G Fund.

At this time, does the public still have unlimited fund transfers withou penalty? Has a date been designated when we only have two transfers per month?

Thank you,

January 7th was supposed to be the day they started watching, even though we have not received any official warning.

From the TSP website:
"We will notify all participants of the proposal in February 2008 when we mail the new annual participant statements to everyone who has a TSP account. We will announce the results of the process in early Spring 2008."

So get the most out of your money now! :D

Hey tsp universe,

Been watching you (like Big Brother) for some months:laugh:. Found this site by accident by doing ingternet search on TSP, assuming there had to be others talking about tsp. Has anyone from TSPTalk ever asked TSP, if they would post on their homepage the link to tsptalk? Maybe we could even pay them a small fee, if necessary. Shouldn't all members of TSP have right to know of this site? Not surprising most members just buy and hold.

Suggestion #2. Wonder how many users would appreciate some financial skills tests to see where they needed improvement in their investing skills ( and where to get those skills). Maybe there are links to sites that provide this. I do not understand what alot of the investment tools mean or how to use them, stochastic, etc.

Great site and great work.

Hi Jon, I'm starting to refer to myself as the chart rookie . Folks here have kindly referred me to a wonderful site called Stockcharts.com, which has a subsite called Chart School. It's great, the glossary is as useful as any other part of chart school site, is helping me figure out what all the symbols mean as well as provides help interpreting what they might tell you when used in a chart. Gives you a chance to play around with different charts as well. Check it out, I think you'll like it.
