Well after the Yankees got their 9 year streak broken by the Red Sox ... it seems that they are the favorites to win the World Series.

What are you guy's take?

I know 12% is Rooting for the Sox .... Me Too. :D

I'm going to try to get tix for Game3 in Anaheim.

I'm predicting Red Sox-Cubs in the Series. Cubs lineup has been on a tear as of late. Of course, the only bad thing with that matchup is all the talk the media is going to make of 'the curse'. In the end, I think Red Sox are going to pull it off. They have the hitting and more importantly the pitching.

My dark horse is Colorado. Who knows how many teams they are going to agitate along the way.

My dream is for the Cubs to win the world series. Realitically, I'm not even sure they'll get out of the NLDS.

I wouldn't be too suprised to see the Rockies win it. No, I haven't been drinking either!

I grew up in east central Illinois. It was, for the most part, 50-50 Cubs and Cardinals. Nobody rooted for the ChiSox. I came home from third grade and saw Bob Gibson K 17 Tigers in Game 1 of the W.S From that day on in 1968, I've been a Cardinal fan. My dad, who is 79, is a Cubs fan. His dad told stories of going to Wrigley Field back in the teens and twenties. It was always a good year if the Cardinals finished ahead of the Cubs.

That being said, I've seen two W.S. titles...last year and in 1982. I am pulling for the Cubs so my dad can see a title in his lifetime. Do I think they'll win? No. But I hope so. If not them, maybe the Indians. It's been a long time. Anyone but the Yankees or the Sox. I still remember watching NBC's game of the week on Saturday afternoons. To me, it featured what was then the A.L. East about 90% of the time!:toung:

I just saw the WS odds on ESPN.

1. Red Sox 10-11. (That means $550 bet wins $500) Team is loaded.
2. Indians 3-1 Decent pitching, decent hitting, well rounded team.
3. D Backs 13-3 Free swingers, hackers, throwers. Just hungry to win.
4. Rockies 13-3 Good power, pitching is an atrocity. Vets/Rookie mix.

I see Red Sox v Rockies in WS. Both teams can hit, but Boston has much better pitching. Good pitching can beat good hitting almost any day.

After my Cubs sucked large, I'm hoping the Rockies win. Winning 17 of their last 18, that streak has to come to an end sooner or later, doesn't it? Hopefully later.

Rockies going to the World Series!!! Awesome. I'm so glad it's not the D-Backs. Now if the Tribe can win the ALCS, what a series it will be. So far Rockies and Indian pitching has proved me wrong. Tulowitzki and Matsui are showing how important defense is up the middle. The only thing is they make it look too easy. Odds point to Colorado winning the whole thing.

Congrat to the Rockies. However, I think the two best teams in MLB are playing in the ALCS right now.

At this point, I'm thinking that the best the Rockies can do is Red Sox win it in 5.
