Last year I gave out those planners to our most active posters on the board. This year I want to give out T-shirts.

I will put the TSP Talk logo in the front pocket area but I also want to put a one line catch phrase on the back. I'm looking for something clever, snappy, catchy ideas. Something like:

- First one to a million wins

- The 1st million is the toughest

- Whoever retires with the most money wins

- TSP Talk.com - Come grow with us
etc.

As you can see, I can't seem to come up with anything too good so try to get your creative juices flowing and come up with something.

Also, I'd like to come up with a short "sound" to go with the site. CNBC uses stuff like, Ca-ching" or Booya. Can we find a good one for us?

Wise-guy reponses need not apply. No kerplunks or flushing sounds please. :D

If I use your idea I'll make sure you get a shirt, hat and travel mug.

Thanks!!

I'd be a little concerned about people trusting financial decisions with a company / website that uses a cartoon. I think they'd have a hard time taking us seriously. That's always been something I've tried to weigh out because I realize this site is geared towards us average Joe gov. employees and military folks. I didn't want anything to be too complicated but at the same time they have to respect what we're saying. I think this has been the formula for success for the message board and I try to write my market commentaries with that in mind.

Seems to me that you could also "right-click and save target as" the sound file from the link that I posted and rename it to something like "TSPtalk_bellsound.wav" and use that saved file for your site use.

I like some of the smart money ideas mentioned. Here's some spin offs:

"The smart money is on TSP Talk.com"

"The smart money reads TSP Talk.com"

"The smart money posts on TSP Talk.com"

"We ain't the dumb money"

"Add to Favorites: TSP Talk.com"

Last year I gave out those planners to our most active posters on the board. This year I want to give out T-shirts.

I will put the TSP Talk logo in the front pocket area but I also want to put a one line catch phrase on the back. I'm looking for something clever, snappy, catchy ideas.
More info:
My plan is to see which members were most active since January 1st. I can check the database for this type of info. Unfortunatey, I can't give one out to everyone so there will have to be a cutoff somewhere. If I go with whoever had say 100 or more posts so far in 2007, a member who has 93 will have to be left out. I may even check the post count from Jan 1 to the end of June (1st six months) then do it again for the last six months.

I would give away more shirts as I can get a pretty fair price on them, it's the postage that kills me. Do you know you USPS folks are charging over $7 in postage for me to mail one of those new travel mugs? See what you can do about that. :D The shirts might be cheaper.
