This is probably my favorite geeky music video. It's the song from one of the Geico commercials (where caveman is in airport). I just like the way it presents everything. It makes me feel like I just learned a bunch about the world. It also inspires me to find better ways at presenting information.

Great one, Dodge Em'! Those girls are nuts.

I also love watching the crazy pranks that Brazilians pull. Just search for pegadinha. Here's one where the guy is in a wheelchair and asks people to help him across the street:

I had to listen a couple of times but I really got into it. This dude can sing (move over Idol). I'm a rocker at heart and grew up with Zeppelin, Rush, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, GnR, Cinderella, etc., and this guy can crank it out vocally right with them.

I saw that movie "Sicko" and was really impressed with some countries' health care. The best comparison I've seen to free health care is the fire department and police department. We don't expect to pay for the fire department to put out the fire in our house and we aren't denied police protection if we can't afford it, so why is it different with our health care?

This is what happens when you try to do that "Wingsuit" stuff:

*WARNING- not for the faint of heart. Don't click on this if you can't stomach the result of what happens when stupid people try to fly without an airplane. This is not for everyone. This video contains the death of a person who tried to fly. Don't watch it if that is going to bother you. Period. You have been warned.

Mostly rock (the more distortion, the better I sound :D), and accoustic stuff like Neil Young. People who don't play tell me I am pretty good. Those who can play themselves, know I am not. I play by ear and never took a lesson so do the math. :D

1. I'm in favor of stem cell research..Like what it could have done for Chris Reeves.

2. I think a woman of age and sound mind, has the RIGHT to choose what she should do for her own body and life (none of my damn business)...under aged, along with rape and incest victims should have automatic abortion allowances made..

3. Socialized medicine don't work..somebody will still pay through the nose in other ways..

4. Every law abiding citizen should have and to hold if they want, a gun(s)

5. Keep taxes low and tax the hell out of record breaking profit takers..

6. Drill and explore all of our US territories for oil and natural gas..in spite of what some people would like you to believe, there is enough OIL in the US for the US, for more than 200 years yet, but you know who won't let us go after it, because it might up set the mating cycle of an Alaskan fuking fruit fly..so the way I look at it, we've only used a 1/3 of what we still have...Did you know that it only cost $19.50/bbl to produce oil from Tar Sands in Canada...go figure that one.

7. Take care of business in Iraq and get out with dignity and pride of accomplishment..rebuilding a country in a democratic light for the first time, don't happen over night...get real!!!, be Proud we at least rid the world of a Murderous dictator...And YES, there are more yet to be terminated..can't do them all at once.

8. Schools and Homeless programs here in the US should be our priority first, to saving the helpless and staving in other countries...Keep feeding them, they keep breeding...

9. This Country and Constitution was built and founded on GODLINESS..Let's keep that way.

10. Shore up our boarders and get out of everyone else's back yards..

WAL-MART?

Oh my friend-- Pleeeze-say it ain't So ! ! !

It's time for ALL of America to WAKE UP!

Wal-mart is anti-American, anit-military family, and is a villian you should not support!

Wal-mart destroys the American Economy, hurts consumers with lead-filled chinese products. Their employment practices harm you as a taxpayer by requiring employees to obtain health care from state taxpayers, and depresses wages.

There, I got that off my chest.

Just one mid-size store costs taxpayers nealry half-million dollars a year!

Your tax dollars pay for Wal-Mart's greed

The estimated total amount of federal assistance for which Wal-Mart employees were eligible in 2004 was $2.5 billion. [The Hidden Price We All Pay For Wal-Mart, A Report By The Democratic Staff Of The Committee On Education And The Workforce, 2/16/04]
One 200-employee Wal-Mart store may cost federal taxpayers $420,750 per year. This cost comes from the following, on average:

$36,000 a year for free and reduced lunches for just 50 qualifying Wal-Mart families.
$42,000 a year for low-income housing assistance.
$125,000 a year for federal tax credits and deductions for low-income families.
$100,000 a year for the additional expenses for programs for students.
$108,000 a year for the additional federal health care costs of moving into state children's health insurance programs (S-CHIP)
$9,750 a year for the additional costs for low income energy assistance.

All of those taxes and credits are available to anyone with low income. Anybody getting minimum wage is getting all those taxes and credits. I don't see how WalMart is unique in getting those benefits. If WalMart was destroyed, all those employees would probably work in a similar setting for some other place. The same taxes would be dished out to those people.

This video-clip, from the movie "Network" is so very relevant, maybe especially for today.
Its self-explanatory (difficult is knowing - its vintage, 1976!!)...

Not only does that video reflect my deepest feelings about this
country and those responsible for allowing me the privledge to
live here, but it reminds me of a life style I could only dream
of having. (except the terioki sauce) Pass me that BBQ sauce. ;)

Baxter is nationally famous cowboy poet, real cowman and large animal vet, low-tech lifestyle, hysterically funny, especially if you can relate to the topics of his poems, which I can. Heard him perform at National cowboy poetry gathering in Elko, NV more than once. FYIW, Elko County is one of the most anti-gov places in the country, but the Poetry Gathering is one of its best aspects.

Excellent video. Multiculturalism is really an updated version of radical egalitarianism which seeks to eliminate all standards and aspirations in order to reduce everyone and everything to the same level - lowest common denominator in other words. From an ideological standpoint, multiculturalism is but a thinly veiled attack on the central principles and ideas of Western civilization. No way, no how, nobama.

Caution: Contains improper language:

However, this is exactly what happens when "sales" calls the IT department for help. It reminds me of my IT guys sometimes.

Again- caution- contains improper language:

Picture if you will, the daily life of an IT guy, sitting behind his desk at the helpline, waiting to assist one of his "customers"......

I'm still laughing to hard to keyboard correctly! My son is CTO of a company that produces designer software applications. I can't wait to share this with him!:laugh:

One caveat though: James isn't kidding about the language. Don't view this one at work.

I almost believed that one. My wife is the one who caught that he changed shirts to a black one - I guess to act like it got covered with smoke. But then there is no black all over the table or on the camera. Funny either way, though! :D
