Tom, in your morning comments today 01/05/2007 you said the sentiment survey was bearish:

Last check of the TSP Talk Sentiment Survey (http://www.tsptalk.com/#1) shows a bulls to bears ratio over 2 to 1 (59% to 27%) which would keep that "trading system (http://www.tsptalk.com/sentiment.php)" on a sell signal.

But when you click on the latest tsp talk sentiment survey results they are illustrated below where did the update change come from?? thanks

Week 01/02/07 - 01/05/07 you showed a bull 45% bear 28% ratio of 1.61-1 with 134 votes so how did this get to a bears ratio of over 2 to 1??

I know it can be confusing. There are so many possible questions there, let me see if I can clear it up.

The survey I put out on Wednesday or Thursday each week gives us an idea of how bullish/bearish people are so that by Friday morning (today) we can use that to decide what the market might do the following week.

The survey available today let you see the ratio before today's deadline and that ratio currently suggests to us that we should still be in sell mode because the bull to bear ratio is 2 to 1 (of course it's changed this morning because of the market weakness.)

I update the sentiment results over the weekend. I will put down that for next week, 1/8 - 1/12, we are 2 to 1 bullish (or whatever it is) and that is bearish for stocks.

Simple right? Let me know if that didn't answer your question.

Thanks,
Tom
