Can't wait to hear what the bugs have to say about this.

Miners rolling over too, down around 15% from last Wednesday's open.

Silver and Gold settling down a little bit, into their new respective ranges? Anyone buying or selling metals here?

I've been shorting silver -- a bit too long. Making some of those losses back since I started shorting on 7/24 near $23.

And you've got your TSP Talk coins as a hedge!

I like silver. Not only is it on an upswing, but it also has a ways to go to return to historical comparisons to gold.
Also, what do you think about adding metals to an IRA?

I like the idea of having some in precious metals for diversification, amount depending on proximity to retirement. I'm 33 and have about 1% in, not including the wifey's jewelry. I'll probably bump that up to the 5-10% range or so over time as I get older and prefer less volatile investments. Like bonds. But for now, I just don't see anything out there coming close to the expected returns of stocks. Maybe venture capitalism, but that's super high risk / super high reward. Crypto too.

My portfolio right now is roughly:

40% - real estate (equity in house)
40% - stocks
15% - cash
4% - crypto
1% - precious metals

Covering my short position in silver this morning. That was quite a ride.

Just a general observation, that's seems like a lot of cash. Care to share how you stash your cash?

I've seen calls for gold being in a large bull flag formation. Blue wave = infrastructure bill = higher rates. Inflation is nowhere to be seen unless you believe the government has been manipulating numbers.

Food inflation? Well, forced shutdowns killed businesses and they are slowly rebuilding. Plus, we all have to pay somehow for the 'free' grocery deliveries from the supermarket.

Is bitcoin the new gold? :(

That was 3 months of expenses in savings, 50% of my TSP in G fund, and about 20% of my trading account on the sidelines.

Now it's 3 months expenses in savings, 100% TSP fully invested and 100% trading account fully invested. So that cash position is much smaller now.

Gold in the dumper after breaking down this week. Chart not included, but miners broke below H&S neckline this week.
