I'll be really surprised if the F-fund is up as much as BND and AGG are indicating.

With yields bouncing back all day, the F-fund may be up just slightly, flat, or maybe even slightly down. BND and AGG indicate a solid up day for bonds.

Yeah, it's not so bad if you're just holding onto the F-fund (or the I-fund for that matter) but on the days you enter or exit, the TSP can make it frustrating by messing with the price and the prior / next day's adjustment. And it probably just feels this way, but they always seem to go against you. :)

Well I'll be… In fact it is in today's. Thx Tom🤙Well that was an impetuous decision on my part, however it got me back into the market. I'll swing over to your market comments to see how this move could play out.

AGG is now below its 50-EMA. Besides for 14 Aug, It's been awhile since it has done that.

After 8 straight positive days for the BND, it is down slightly today - but there's still time.

The F-fund always seem to zig when I expect a zag. Last week's action in BND was looking quite good for bonds, then this week it just turned right back down. maybe it just needed another test of the 50-day EMA?

Your chart was good on 12/2. BND did come close to that bottom channel.

Right now, gap and crap or going higher? 10 and 30 year look to have pushed above resistance today.

this may have been answered already, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Is a bear market good for the F fund? or another way of saying it, what is the performance of the F fund in and throughout the stages of a bear market?

Bond prices and the F-fund go up when yields come down and, in general, if we're in a bear market in the stock market because of a weakening economy, yields tend to go down so bonds can do better than stocks. Not always.

Also, investors tend to move to something less volatile during bear markets so bonds can be the recipient.

The bear flag is breaking down this morning on BND (F-fund.)
