HELP!!

I just tried to buy some shares of SPY (C fund) through Scottrade and said "No good til cancelled on market orders" does this mean I have to do it daily and get charged $7 every time? I'm confused.................

Nevermind, I figured it out. That's only for limit orders. Big dummy!!!:P

hehe, ya, A market order is ASAP, now. All the other orders can be day only or GTC. I usually set GTC limit orders at my target sell price (usually 10-20% higher than purchase price) in case of an intraday spike; that has paid off a few times.

I avoid stop limit orders and use e-mail alerts instead to avoid getting shaken out during an intraday dip. I was bit by that once......once.
