I hope we/I didn't ruffle any feathers at the TSP board. I made an IFT on Friday at 11:56 and got an email confirmation that it would be effective 9/29, as expected, however my allocation on account did not change. This is the first time I've noticed this has happened, though they (TSP board) DO have the 2 business day effective clause, I haven't noticed that being enforced. Anyone else? Maybe because my transfer request was within 5 minutes of deadline?
FUTURESTRADER,
Yes, the same thing has happended to me! I thought on Friday I had doged a bullet and actually would make a few dollars but my allocations for the 29th are showing the same allocations I had on the 28th. Also, this is the first time my IFT submitted before noon have not been effective the next day. What does that mean?

AIF,
It could mean several things. Did you get an email confirmation? If so what time was it stamped? Like I said, they have a "2 day effective" clause, kind of like a 2-3 day 'settle' rule when trading through a broker. Could have been too close to deadline?? Or ruffled feathers??...or...??

Someone being an a**?
I did receive a Confirmation email on 29 Sep 06 (2304 Hrs) stating: Date of Request: 09/29/06, Time of Request: 11:28:24 Eastern, Effective Date: 09/29/06.
Investment Percentages You Requested:
L 2040: 0% L 2030: 0% L 2020: 0% L 2010: 0% L INCOME: 0% G FUND: 50% F FUND: 50% C FUND: 0% S FUND: 0% I FUND: 0%
On the TSP.gov site this morning when I look at my Account Balance it shows my distribution for the 29th as C 30%, S 40%, I 30%.
Do I need to contact them to see if they have an error?

Did you call to see what it has as a balance?

I am passing on this info I received from another member...
I believe the error referenced is on the website and that the telephone is correct.
This would affect a larger group than TSPTALK, but these people may not realize anything happened.
I left a "comment" for the TSP folks. I explained the same situation that I put in the thread, but I don't expect any action and they don't answer comments (or accept email).
How can we bring this to someone's attention who can be our advocate? I suspect the TSP ADP'ers will attempt to hide or gloss over this error.
If this error is factual, then it should be brought to the attention of all TSP participants -- not just our member board.
Do you know the names of senators and representatives who oversee the TSP Board?
I guess I'm upset because I ask "What if I was 100% in the I Fund Friday and they didn't acknowledge or fix the error?" You can lose 2% or 3% on days like this.

I hear it has been fixed. Did anyone check again?
I made an IFT last Friday well before noon and have not received an e-mail confirmation.
Dell
I did see mine was fixed. My total fund amount was always correct but my allocations were not updated. When I heard it was cleared up I checked again and everything was in order.
