It seems all indicators this week are down but the market is moving up. It seems like the Fed has done its job well. The economy is cooling but it also means the fed is done raising intrest rates and every market guru knows it. So the market is moving up the gurus are anticipating the Fed to keep the same rate or lower it in the near future. I think Christmas is starting early this year.

During the 90's stock boom most people invested in either mutual funds that tracked the S&P 500 or tech stocks on the NASDAQ. I know the DOW has broken out with all time highs. Right now the S&P remains about 12% below its high. The NASDAQ 55% below its high.

The overall market is going up along with the DOW. The large caps are basicaly the big global companies.This tells me that investors are optimistic about blue chip stocks it also shows the need for safety. The affect of these new highs creates investor intrest. We could see a lot more people who have been waiting dive into the market.
