Asia Stocks Fall; Yuan Slips Post U.S. FX Report: Markets Wrap
The onshore Chinese yuan touched the lowest since January 2017 as traders digested the U.S. Treasury’s currency report. While America refrained from naming China a currency manipulator, the semi-annual report did raise concern about the yuan’s recent decline. U.S. equity-index futures were lower after the S&P 500 Index failed to extend the biggest rally since March, closing flat.
