Equities edged lower and the Japanese yen gained ground in Asia-Pacific trading after fresh US-China trade concerns fuelled a rocky session on Wall Street. The CSI 300 index of major companies listed in Shenzhen and Shanghai shed 1 per cent, while in Hong Kong the Hang Seng China Enterprise index of major Chinese stocks listed in the territory fell 1.5 per cent and the broader Hang Seng index dropped 1.2 per cent. in US companies working with sensitive technology sparked a sell-off on Wall Street on Monday.
