I am making a change to my long-term, buy and hold type account. I will update the longer term comments (http://www.tsptalk.com/longer_term.html) on July 1st (I update them on Jan 1 and July 1 each year). I make only one or two allocation changes in this account a year.

My aggressive account, which was:
10% G, 15% F, 25% C, 25% S and 25% I fund

and is being changed to:
0% G, 0% F, 35% C, 35% S, 30% I fund

Effective 6/15 (COB 6/14).

You may soon have one follower on that change....or at least something like it.

Figure that since I missed the proper time to bail, the least I can do is maximize the upside when it comes!

Tom,

Have you been doing this long term account long enough to estimate its return over time? Since you also keep an active account, the long term one obviously isn't so much better than trading that you put everything in it. If you don't mind my asking, what percent of your TSP is in long term compared to active?

Pilgrim -

All of my money is in the tading account. I started the long-term account in January 2005 (maybe longer but I started tracking it then) for those who responded over the years that do not want to actively trade their account. It is not what I do with my account.

Here are the returns...
